Quality Assurance

Cascade Coffee's Quality Mission Statement establishes a commitment to the concept of Quality and empowers all levels of the workforce to perform in a Quality manner and to challenge Non-Quality practice. The Mission Statement governs the behavior and performance of our Leadership team. The Leadership team acts by example to the rest of the workforce to ensure that quality thought and actions are encouraged. Our testing requirements for each coffee have been designed to insure customer/consumer satisfaction. Our Quality Control Technicians perform the product testing necessary to assure that our coffees are roasted and packaged within quality specifications.

Measurement and tracking of results is a key Total Quality principle. Our Product Quality Measure system includes tracking of product defects by variable defects and attribute defects. Data from the Product Quality Measures system is used to identify parts of the process that require improvement. All of the quality data that is collected is stored in a Quality Windows database and backed up on daily basis. On all prepackaged products, a retained sample is stored for one year after the production date. We provide production sample and/or Certificates of Analysis on our products as required by the customer.
