Grinding

If grinding is specified, whole beans are sent to grinders where the coffee is cut to the desired particle size and normalized to improve the appearance and to control density. The ground coffee is then conveyed to the degassing bins where excess carbon dioxide is allowed to escape. The hold time is these bins is kept to a minimum, as ground coffee is susceptible to flavor change. When complete, the coffee is conveyed to package lines.

Our six state of the art Modern Process Granulizers provide engineered particle size reduction for all of your specific coffee grinding needs. Each grinder continuously controls the amount of densification that occurs. Thus increasing your bulk density. Our current grinding capacity is 750,000 pounds per month.
